RECENT WORK AND MUSINGS

When Lisa reached out about her baby’s 6-month milestone session, we went back and forth discussing locations. As we talked about her family’s daily rhythms and what felt most authentic to them, we kept coming back to one place: their backyard. The result was beautiful, authentic, meaningful family photos that tell the real story of […]

If you’re a new or expectant parent wondering when to schedule newborn photos, you’re not alone. It’s one of the most common questions I receive as a lifestyle newborn photographer here in Seattle. The short answer? The ideal time to photograph your newborn is within the first 5–14 days after birth. But the real answer […]

Living in Seattle means we get to experience some of the most beautiful natural backdrops for family photography—when we time it right. After years of photographing Seattle families throughout the Pacific Northwest and raising three kids here myself, I’ve learned that timing your Seattle family photography session isn’t just about pretty light. It’s about working […]

If you’re anything like me, the thought of planning outfits for your whole family might make you want to hide under a laundry pile. (Which is fair. There’s always one.) But here’s the truth: looking for family session outfit ideas doesn’t have to feel like a Pinterest-inspired panic. And it definitely shouldn’t make you feel […]

Bringing a new baby home is a beautiful whirlwind. You’re adjusting to a whole new rhythm, barely sleeping, and soaking up the sweetest (and most exhausting) days of your life. BEHIND THE LENS
As a mom of three and former software engineer, I bring both emotional intuition and thoughtful precision to every session.
I'm a Seattle lifestyle maternity, newborn and family photographer drawn to the soft, fleeting beauty of motherhood and the depth it carries in everyday moments.
My journey began in Kyiv, Ukraine, took me through Toronto, Canada, and eventually led me to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I spent over a decade building a career as a software engineer, working within a fast-paced, demanding tech industry. It was work I was proud of but I also felt a growing pull toward something more personal.
Photography began as a creative outlet, then slowly became the work that felt most aligned with who I was, especially after I became a mom. Life with three little ones reshaped my perspective on time, presence, and what truly endures and I found myself craving work that felt more personal, connected, and meaningful.
After years of balancing both worlds, I chose to step fully into photography — not as an escape, but as an intentional shift towards work that values connection and creates something lasting.
My "why" is simple: I’m endlessly inspired by the strength and complexity of modern motherhood. The leadership you embody, whether in your career or at home. The invisible weight you carry so effortlessly. The tenderness you hold, even on hard days. My heart is in documenting mothers not just as caretakers, but as the steady anchor of their families, worthy of being seen, celebrated, and remembered.
Motherhood is both ordinary and overwhelming. It’s layered. It’s messy. It’s deeply meaningful in ways that are easy to overlook while you’re in it. Through photography, I want to help you see it differently.
It would be an honor to document your story, exactly as it is: full of love and entirely yours.
